I don’t know about you, but I get excited when I think of almost 6,000 babies saved to date as a result of this endeavor!

When the campaign was started, the leadership was aiming to reach women contemplating abortions, but they were pleasantly surprised by the impact on abortion workers. According to Shawn Carney, the campaign director, “[w]hen we launched 40 Days for Life, this is one statistic we wouldn’t have predicted. We hoped that mothers would choose life and that abortion facilities would close. The abortion workers were another story. They are the ones who, on paper, are supposed to be our enemies, and yet the difference has been that the prayer and the peacefulness of our campaigns really wears on the workers.”

40 Days for life has locations all over the United States and even some in foreign countries. What started with 1,000 volunteers in Texas and a few churches has grown into an international campaign!
