The abortion lobby likes to talk about choice…. except this one

There’s not many people who say they’re “pro-abortion.” That’s kinda strange when you think about it;  people who support gun rights don’t mind describing themselves as “pro-gun.” And yet (with some exceptions), abortion advocates get upset when they’re called pro-abortion.

Instead, they prefer to be known as “pro-choice,” as if their only goal is to make sure pregnant women have a range of options to choose from. That would be a little more believable if they weren’t saying things like this:

A couple of thoughts jump out here. First, when most people talk about “saving” kids, it usually doesn’t involve dismembering them with a pair of forceps.

Second, if you did you find yourself pregnant and felt like you couldn’t give your child the life she deserves, why would killing her be your only option? After all, even if you’re not ready to raise your baby, there’s no shortage of people who are. And the good news is that they’re not hard to find.

There’s currently a shortage of adoptable infants in America, which is why many couples have turned to sites like Adoption.com. It allows aspiring parents who’ve already been approved by an adoption service to create online profiles, complete with pictures, contact details, and a bio explaining what they have to offer.

If you’re pregnant and looking for a family to connect with, the site offers a search tool that makes finding the right one easier. It also publishes accounts from birth mothers who have been through the adoption process and and want to provide their insight.

Additional resources are easily accessible online. Some women seek out an adoption service or law firm to get advice or arrange for help with living expenses.  Places like OptionLine.org can put you in touch with a local pregnancy care center that can provide additional help or guide you through the process of finding adoption resources.

Not that you’re likely to hear any of this from abortion proponents, of course. Despite calling themselves “pro-choice,” they like to pretend that the only alternative to being a parent is a trip to the clinic.

Thanks in part to that mentality, adoption is a choice that often gets overlooked. And yet, it’s one that’s worth some thought. Although the abortion lobby may not want to talk about adoption, there’s plenty of people who do; they’d love to hear from you.
