SEXED: Planned Parenthood’s Dangerous Sex Advice for Kids

The motto at Planned Parenthood seems to be sex with no strings attached.

Planned Parenthood characterizes itself as a leading sex educator for children and teens. In the name of “safer sex,” the abortion chain receives millions of dollars in taxpayer money through the Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program, as well as through the Personal Responsibility and Education Program (PREP).

The motto at Planned Parenthood seems to be sex with no strings attached. Teens are told that they can have sex wherever, whenever, and with whomever — and anything goes, as long as it’s consensual and contracepted.

In Planned Parenthood facilities across the country, clinicians advised Live Action investigators, whom they believed were underage, how to experiment with dangerous sexual practices and illegally visit sex shops. Videos document the abortion chain’s questionable and risky sexual advice for boys and girls, funded by American taxpayers.

Planned Parenthood consistently fights any law requiring parental consent or parental involvement for minors seeking sexual counseling and reproductive services, including abortions. Research has uncovered cases where minors were taken for abortions by their sexual abusers.

Planned Parenthood
INDIANA & KENTUCKY

Undercover footage shows a counselor at Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky advising a young girl on dangerous and questionable sexual practices. The clinician explicitly promotes bondage, domination, and sado-masochism (BDSM), coaches the minor on how to engage in violent and harmful acts — whipping, bondage, and “dominatrix stuff” — and advises her to watch pornography online. After graphically revealing her own personal sexual preferences, the Planned Parenthood staffer encourages the girl to inflict pain on her sexual partner, who is also underage.

Two more investigative videos from Live Action show Planned Parenthood facilities in Denver, CO, offering disturbing and dangerous advice to investigators whom staffers think are underage girls. The counselors approvingly lay out, in graphic detail, a spectrum of sadistic sexual behaviors to the investigators, including “whipping,” “tying up,” and “asphyxiation.”

One Planned Parenthood counselor tells Live Action’s investigator to use a “safe word” when practicing bondage, domination, and sado-masochism (BDSM) with her boyfriend so that he knows when she feels uncomfortable or unsafe. When the investigator asks if she can just say “stop,” the counselor answers that using words like “stop” can get “mixed up when you’re having intercourse” and that the male partner will wonder, “Does she really mean ‘stop,’ or does she mean, you know, whatever?”

The other counselor concurs: “Usually, a lot of people will say ‘stop’ even though it feels good, so that’s usually not something that is used.”

Planned Parenthood
COLUMBIA WILLAMETTE

A Planned Parenthood staffer in Portland, OR, offers disturbing sex counseling to what she thinks is a 15-year-old girl. The staffer tells the investigator that “it’s very common to experiment with different things,” including “being tied up” and “whipped” and “the baby thing, where they will put on diapers.”

Planned Parenthood
MINNESOTA, NORTH DAKOTA & SOUTH DAKOTA

The counselor claims that “anything within the sexual world is normal as long as it’s consensual” and that if the investigator’s sex partner “wants to try something that … is gonna cause you harm or pain, and you’re okay with that, that’s a completely different thing than if he wants to try something to do that you’re not okay with.” She recommends two specific sex shops where the investigator can get “sex toys” and “sex props.”

“What else could an underage girl agree to that Planned Parenthood would call ‘completely normal’? Cuts? Broken bones? Is child sexual abuse ‘completely normal’ if the girl thinks she wants it? Planned Parenthood has covered up the statutory rape of minors for years, as well, not taking child sexual abuse seriously.” — Live Action President Lila Rose

The Facts about Planned Parenthood and Sexed

1. Planned Parenthood has a public video promoting BDSM to anyone, including young children. There is now an “18 and older” text disclaimer before the video on Planned Parenthood’s website, but this is an attempt to cover tracks – the tone, structure, and overall character of the video make it clear that it is intended for teenagers.

2. Go Ask Alice, a site listed under the “Resources” page of many Planned Parenthood affiliates, presents protocol for “safely” engaging in allegedly sexual activities such as playing with fecesdrinking urine, and beating one’s partner. The site leaves open the possibility that “curiosity about sexual contact with animals may be normal[.]”

3. Planned Parenthood of Hudson Peconic sponsored a training seminar, designed for educators of teenagers, titled “50 Shades of Safe.” The seminar offered workshops/classes on “how a BDSM relationship is successfully navigated between sexual partners” and on the “elements of a healthy BDSM relationship.”

4. The official Planned Parenthood website lists BD (bondage and discipline) and SM (sadomasochism) under its Sex & Sexuality – “Understanding Sexual Activity — at a Glance” page without any warnings or safety objections: “Here are some examples of less common sexual behaviors: SM (sadomasochism) — the use of domination and/or pain for sexual arousal. BD (bondage and discipline) — sexual role play that includes elements of SM.”

5. In a series of undercover audits, Live Action investigators documented Planned Parenthood counselors and nurses advising our investigators, who the Planned Parenthood staffers thought were minors, on how to practice torture sex.

6. Planned Parenthood consistently fights any law requiring parental consent or involvement for minors seeking sexual and reproductive health care, including abortions. PP’s website encourages teens to circumvent their parents and the law.

7. Planned Parenthood receives over $500 million a year from taxpayers, in the name of so-called sex education and health. Furthermore, under ObamaCare, Planned Parenthood has announced that it will receive undisclosed funds through the $75-million-a-year PREP (Personal Responsibility and Education Program), with 15 affiliates already having received grants.

8. Planned Parenthood’s stance on what kind of sexual activity is good or not: “Just because a sexual behavior isn’t common or some people disapprove of it or the reasons people enjoy it, doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with it. Many people enjoy less common kinds of sex, but they are often less likely to discuss it with others. One way to think about uncommon kinds of sex is this: if no one is hurt by the kind of sex someone might enjoy, than [sic] it is probably okay.”

9. Planned Parenthood equates unrestricted sexual activity with “freedom, equality and dignity” according to their “Declaration of Sexual Rights.” Abortions and hormone drugs are listed as entitlements that contribute to “the freedom, equality and dignity of all people” – including teens and children.

10. Planned Parenthood covers up the sexual abuse of young girls by offering them clandestine sexual and reproductive health care, including abortions, and coaching these young ladies on how to keep the activity secret from their parents.

11. Planned Parenthood’s “Happy, Healthy & Hot” brochure, infamously marketed to and distributed by Girl Scouts USA, states that it is the reader’s “right” to “decide if, when, and how to disclose their [sic] HIV status.” At the same time, under Planned Parenthood’s “Parenting Teens Who May Be Sexually Active” page, the organization suggests that a relationship in which on partner “keep[s] secrets” is “unhealthy or abusive.”

12. Planned Parenthood advocates for sex education as a “[l]earning about our sexuality and achieving sexual health and well-being are lifelong processes that begin at birth and continue throughout our lives.” Curricula, per Planned Parenthood, should start in kindergarten and be “age-appropriate,” though Planned Parenthood does not specify what this means.

13. Planned Parenthood released a transit ad campaign in New England comprising brightly colored PP-branded banners blaring statements like “We’re your sexual fantasy,” “We’re your quickie,” “We’re your afternoon delight,” “We’re your morning after,” and “We’re your friend with benefits.”

14. PP’s “Ask the Experts” web page and YouTube channel endorse masturbation as educational – “a normal and healthy way to learn what feels good.” PP’s “Health Info – Sex and Sexuality” web page asserts that “[i]t’s important for children to learn that masturbating is normal[.]”

15. Planned Parenthood actively lobbies against abstinence-only education programs: “Unfortunately, the health care reform bill also included a renewal of $50 million per year funding of Title V abstinence-only education for states until 2014. Planned Parenthood is continuing our work with our supporters, youth activists, and policymakers to put an end to this ineffective program.”
