Grandmother welcomes four grandchildren by three different children… on the same day!

In a heartwarming story out of Shreveport, Louisiana, mother of six Tonette Scott celebrated a rare special event in March — the births of four new grandchildren on the same day.

According to NBC KXAN, Scott was already a grandmother to six children (who call her “Diva”) when three of her children announced they were expecting. Two of her daughters and one son welcomed babies on March 6, 2024, with one giving birth to twins. Two of her children even gave birth in the same hospital.

“Dr. Phillips came in. He said, ‘Well you better put some running shoes on, Grandma, ’cause you’re gonna be going down the hall.’ I said, ‘Why?’ He said, ‘I just admitted Ty.’ I said, ‘What!?'”

Two of her daughters, Raighan Scott and Tatyana Simmons were giving birth at Willis Knighton South, while her son Aubrey Scott’s partner was in labor at Nacogdoches Medical Center.

“I was a little tired from running from room to room and then being on FaceTime and looking at pictures with my son at Nacogdoches but it was the talk of the hospital Willis Knighton South: ‘We’ve never heard of four babies from one family — siblings — born in the same day.’ So it was exciting,” said Scott.

One daughter, pregnant with twins, was dealing with preeclampsia symptoms and was admitted to the hospital to give birth due to the dangerous pregnancy complication. She welcomed baby girls Taytum and Teagan. Her sister welcomed baby girl Reign, and brother Aubrey welcomed baby boy Andrew.

“It was crazy, unbelievable, and just surreal,” said Aubrey.

The family said the grandchildren all have a tight bond and they have no doubt the four new cousins will as well.

“I just thank God for family,” said Scott, “and that mine is growing and growing and growing.”

Her daughter shared that “Diva” “has so much love to give” and has already volunteered to babysit the kids.
