WATCH: Emotional video as father and son meet ‘miracle’ baby girl

baby girl miracle

An emotional video of a father and son meeting their new daughter/sister for the first time after her birth has gone viral and brought millions of viewers to tears. Posted on Instagram by João Prudêncio Neto, the father of the newborn baby girl, and shared by Baby Adorable, the video has now been viewed over 1.5 million times.

According to João, his newborn baby girl Giovanna was a “miracle” that the entire family had prayed for. Doctors had insisted that it would be impossible for João and his wife to have any more children after their son was born.

“After having our first child David, I became infertile,” João wrote on Instagram. “It was impossible to be a father again with zero sperm production. My wife @karolinneprudencio was healthy and also dreamed of having another child. Until the Lord Jesus healed me, giving me life so I could generate another.”

The joy and love felt in the video speak to the gift that all children are and the emotions that all families experience at the arrival of a new baby. Even if the pregnancy is unplanned, unexpected, and scary, once that baby arrives, hearts can melt and fall in love.

“Giovanna’s birth is not only a blessing for our family but also for all those who dream of one day living the miracle that only Jesus can do,” said João. “We prayed every day for a miracle. I was a father again without any artificial procedures. Glory to God! All this emotion is for the miracle performed; my wife is very well and happy!”

Instagram users shared their reactions to the video and the birth of Giovanna. “I feel like my daughter is going to react like this as well, and it warms my heart so much,” said one user. “This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”

Another user said, “This made my heart overflow.”

Every baby is a miracle and deserves to be supported and welcomed into the world with love, with every parent given the opportunity to feel like João and his family did on the day of his daughter’s birth.
