Pro-life activists to oppose Planned Parenthood’s abortion party

In fiscal 2012, Planned Parenthood received a record $542 million from the federal government. That means that about 45 percent of Planned Parenthood’s budget now comes from the American taxpayer, a new all-time high. But apparently $542 million just isn’t enough. Planned Parenthood needs even more money to fund its abortion industry.

Planned Parenthood Clinic SignSo to fundraise on the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is throwing a party. On Tuesday, January 22, Los Angeles pro-aborts will be sipping cocktails, networking, and accepting $10 donations at Busby’s Restaurant, located at 5364 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, to support its local abortion services. Busby’s is also kicking in 15% of the night’s proceeds to support the aborters. The group is openly advertising the fundraiser on its Facebook page.

The Facebook event alerted Mrs. Catherine Contreras, the president of Foot Soldiers for Life, a Los Angeles-based pro-life group. Contreras and her soldiers plan to crash Planned Parenthood’s fundraising party in peaceful protest. They are actively inviting other pro-life supporters to attend.

Foot Soldiers for Life will protest outside the restaurant from 6pm until 9pm, local time, rain or shine. The Soldiers will use sidewalk-chalking and abortion image posters with event-specific signs (like “40 Years of This is Nothing to Celebrate”) to highlight Planned Parenthood’s greedy profiteering. These pro-life warriors will become citizen-journalists, using video cameras to expose those attending the fundraiser as well as to protect themselves against assaults, slander, and defamation.

Foot Soldiers for Life periodically conducts pro-life “boot camps” to train new pro-life recruits about the humanity of the unborn, fetal development, and pain from a medical perspective, and ways to counter and expose common pro-abortion fallacies in discussion.
