Planned Parenthood knows the babies it aborts aren’t the “clumps of cells” it says they are

One Planned Parenthood abortionist would talk to dismembered body parts like they were live children as he sifted through them

Washington, D.C. (March 7, 2017) –Today, national pro-life organization Live Action released video testimonials from a former Planned Parenthood manager and nurse describing in detail what happens immediately following abortions in the “products of conception” lab where abortionists sift through the dismembered body parts of the babies they just killed.

The gruesome process these women describe exposes not only the barbarism of abortion, but also that Planned Parenthood isn’t aborting “clumps of cells” or “products of conception” – euphemisms the abortion industry often uses to mislead women about how developed their babies are – but rather children with beating hearts at just three and a half weeks old.

Nurse Marianne Anderson describes how one abortionist sifted through dismembered body parts and talked to them as if they were live children. “Now, where’s your little arm?” he asked.

The two new videos, “Planned Parenthood knows it’s not aborting ‘clumps of cells’” and “Planned Parenthood: Desensitized to the killing” are the latest videos in Live Action’s investigative series “Abortion Corporation.” “Abortion Corporation” reveals Planned Parenthood as a profit-focused, abortion business that fails to prioritize women’s health care.

Live Action is releasing this investigative series as Congress plans to redirect over $400 million in Medicaid funding away from Planned Parenthood to thousands of federally qualified local health clinics and as the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act makes its way to the Senate.

Former Storm Lake, IA, Planned Parenthood manager Sue Thayer witnessed the abortion process and the aftermath numerous times:

“I remember standing there looking at that, and I said, ‘Why are there three arms?’ You know, and we’re looking, and the gal training me said, ‘Twins – it was twins.’ And I said, you know, ‘Do you tell the mom that she had twins?’ And she says, ‘No, it usually just upsets them.’”

Former Indianapolis, IN, Planned Parenthood nurse Marianne Anderson describes the callous disrespect abortionists showed the deceased children in the lab:

“He would sometimes talk to [the aborted child], saying – I’ll never forget him saying, ‘Now, where’s your little arm? I didn’t see – I’m missing this arm.’ And he would sift through it, trying to find the pieces, make sure he had everything. And then he’d say – I remember him saying, ‘Oh, there you are! Now, where’s the head and where’s this?’… There was another doctor who also visited… He really seemed to kind of get into it. He – I’ll never forget the first day he was there – and he goes, ‘Look at this – this is so cool!’”

Lila Rose, founder and president of Live Action, commented on the videos, stating, “The testimonials of these former abortion workers are so powerful. The stories of the death they witnessed on a daily basis and of the barbaric procedures they saw committed on preborn children must be heard – especially by those who support abortion without understanding how brutal and inhumane it truly is.

“The science is clear: these preborn children are growing, developing human beings who have beating hearts at just three and a half weeks old. Taking their lives is the opposite of health care. Despite the lies they tell their clients, Planned Parenthood knows they aren’t aborting clumps of cells, but innocent little human beings.”

Live Action is investing $500,000 in a digital ad campaign to show millions of Americans that Planned Parenthood is an abortion-first enterprise, not a women’s health care provider.

Prior videos in the “Abortion Corporation” series documenting the lack of authentic women’s health care include: “The Prenatal Care Deception,”Abortion Quotas,” “Ultrasounds for Killing, Not Care at Planned Parenthood,”  “Planned Parenthood Managers: Ultrasounds for Abortions, Not Care,” “Managers reveal Planned Parenthood is not real health care” and “Planned Parenthood ‘treated women like cattle’” The videos have received a combined 42 million views on Facebook since the first video launched Jan. 24.

Will Planned Parenthood continue its denials of these findings?

“I anticipate Planned Parenthood will respond as it usually does by denying the findings of this investigation,” said Rose.

“We know that Planned Parenthood repeatedly misleads the public, as it did during Live Action’s 2011 child sex trafficking exposé. In January, Live Action released public records that show Planned Parenthood failed to report child sex traffickers to local authorities as it had claimed. Planned Parenthood also lied to the New York Times, the Associated Press, and other media outlets about retraining thousands of its staff to identify and report sex traffickers. Instead, a former manager says the sessions were used to train staff how to identify undercover journalists. You can read the article and see the evidence
