Model says she was raped, forced into abortion by her fiancé and his family

India, rape

According to India Today, a model was allegedly raped and forced to undergo an abortion by her nightclub manager fiancé in August, in Bengal, India. The model filed a complaint with police on Monday, stating that the nightclub manager had befriended her on social media. After they began a relationship, their parents agreed for them to be married at the end of this month. However, when she went to his home on August 3 at his request to meet his parents and discuss a wedding detail, he was there alone and sexually assaulted her.

“Over time, a relationship developed between them and the two families met and decided to get them married,” said a policeman. “They had set their wedding date on November 29. However, before their marriage could be solemnised, she was raped.”

The model reported to the police that her fiancé raped her three times and then sent her away. Two weeks later she discovered she was pregnant. When she told him, he invited her back to his home again where his family forced her to have an abortion despite her objections. He then refused to marry her, according to police.

Police have opened an investigation into the matter but have not yet arrested the nightclub manager.

READ: Woman shares story of ‘soul-crushing’ coerced abortion at Planned Parenthood

Live Action’s Aiding Abusers investigation revealed that even in the United States, abusive men bring their often underage victims to abortion facilities like Planned Parenthood to undergo abortions to cover up their crimes. Those abortions destroy the DNA evidence that exists — the body of the child — and the victim is returned to her abuser.

During this investigation, a Planned Parenthood worker in Virginia told the undercover investigators posing as sex traffickers that the abortion giant could help them secure abortions for 14-year-old “sex workers.” Planned Parenthood has also helped countless sexual predators continue to abuse their victims by failing to report the suspected abuse as required.

Forced or coerced abortion is common among women in abusive relationships. A study published in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons in recent years noted that nearly 74% of women who had past abortions said they were coerced or pressured in some way to abort their children.
