Abortionist’s desk placard, shown in birthday photo: ‘Even on my worst days, I’m killing it’

abortionist LeRoy Carhart

A photo has emerged of abortionist LeRoy Carhart and his staff celebrating his 78th birthday in his abortion facility. Carhart’s choice of desk placards is disturbing. The placard reads, “Even on my Worst Days, I’m Killing It.”

This is the abortion doctor, Leroy Carhart. He has killed tens of thousands of babies in his lifetime, including those…

Carhart, who does abortions in all three trimesters, openly admitted in a recent interview with the BBC that he kills “babies.” The interview aired on July 22, 2019. Interviewer Hilary Andersson appeared visibly shocked by his admission:

Carhart:  The baby has no input in this, as far as I’m concerned.

Hilary Andersson: But it’s interesting that you use the word baby because a lot of abortionists won’t use that…

Carhart: I- I think that it is a baby and I tell our- I use it with the patients.

Hilary Andersson: And you don’t have a problem with killing a baby?

Carhart: I have no problem if it’s in the mother’s uterus.

Carhart does, indeed, use the word “baby” with his patients.

In a Live Action undercover video, an investigator who was 26 weeks pregnant went into Carhart’s abortion facility in Germantown. She claimed to be seeking an abortion, and secretly filmed the conversations she had with Carhart and abortion facility staff.

At 26 weeks, the woman would be having an abortion by induction. As former abortionist Anthony Levatino explains, this type of abortion is done by injecting the baby with digoxin to kill the child, then inducing labor three days later.

Carhart describes the procedure:

Woman: …OK, so, and the baby-

Dr. Carhart: Will come through [the birth canal], it’ll compress down and come through that because it’s not alive… Just–it’s–gets soft, like mushy, so you–you push it through.

Woman: So what makes the baby mushy?

Dr. Carhart: The fact that it’s not alive, for two or three days.

Woman: Oh, so I’ll have a dead baby in me?

Dr. Carhart: For 3 days, yeah.

Woman: Will it start to decay or something?

Dr. Carhart: No.… Not, it’s very, very minimal if it does, because there’s no bacteria there…. So it’s like putting meat in a Crock-Pot, OK, it doesn’t get, it doesn’t get broke, but it just gets softer, it doesn’t get infected or

Woman: OK, so the dead baby in me is like–

Dr. Carhart: It’s just–

Woman: –like meat in a Crock-Pot.

Dr. Carhart: Pretty much, yeah, kinda much….In a slow cooker….

Carhart seems comfortable with the term “baby.”  A few sentences later, he uses it himself:

Woman: … [Y]ou stick it in like the head?

Dr. Carhart: No, in the tummy, in the chest, somewhere in the baby. Or if we can, even if we put it in the amniotic fluid, eventually it gets into the baby, it will work wherever, but it takes longer so we get like one less day of the fetal, the baby not being alive.

Carhart then discusses how long it takes for the child to die:

Woman: …OK, so is that on the first day, there are 2 shots, and that is what kills the baby…. And then will it, will it take very long to–to die?

Dr. Carhart: It, most of the time it takes about an hour and a half to two hours… Sometimes if we get a lot of it into the circulation it’ll be 10, 15, 20 minutes, but that’s very, very rare.

The woman asks if she will feel the baby thrashing around as he or she dies, and Carhart tells her “actually, the medicine that we give you puts it to sleep, where there are no, we won’t even see fetal movement when we do anything.”

Carhart is implying that the child will not feel any pain due to the anesthesia given to the mother. But then-president of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) testified before a Senate Committee during a hearing on the partial birth abortion ban in 1997:

Drugs administered to the mother, either local anesthesia administered in the paracervical area or sedatives/analgesics administered intramuscularly or intravenously, will provide little-to-no analgesia [pain relief] to the fetus.

Other testimony in the case revealed that a level of anesthesia that would fully sedate or kill the baby would harm the mother. If anesthesia is given similarly today, the baby would feel pain.

The woman then asks what Carhart will do if the child doesn’t come out, and he answers:

Dr. Carhart: We’d take it out in pieces.

Woman: ….What do you use to break it up? Just –

Dr. Carhart: A whole bunch of, you know –

Woman: You’ve got a toolkit.

Dr. Carhart: (laughs) A pickaxe, a drill bit, yeah…No, there’s all, there’s just instruments that have been developed.

Carhart jokes about dismembering third trimester babies with a “pickaxe” and “drill bit.”

All of this indicates that when Carhart puts a sign on his desk saying, “I’m killing it,” he means it quite literally.
