Woman says Planned Parenthood gave her “no information” before abortion

Silent No More is an organization that compiles the testimonies of women who regret their abortions. In July they released a collection of testimonies from women who went to Planned Parenthood for abortions or abortion referrals and had bad experiences. All these women now want Planned Parenthood to be defunded.

Here is one story from a woman who says neither Planned Parenthood nor the clinic where she had her abortion gave any information or counseling:

I had an abortion in Chicago. I went to a Planned Parenthood office for the pregnancy test. They gave me no information about fetal development; no information about abortion procedures; no information about my options. They asked me if I knew what I wanted to do and I said I was thinking about having an abortion. They gave me a list of clinics to call.

The abortion clinic that Planned Parenthood referred me to also gave me no information about fetal development; no information about abortion procedures; no information about my options.

When I went back for a check-up two weeks later I was crying while I was there. Aside from receiving a pelvic exam to determine that “everything was OK” no one there asked me how I was doing emotionally and no one seemed concerned about my tears.
