DEFUND Planned Parenthood: Leading an extremist coalition of sex ‘miseducators’

The extremist coalition of sex ‘miseducators’ known as The Future of Sex Education (FoSE) — a collaboration between Planned Parenthood, Advocates for Youth (AFY) and its digital media arm AMAZE, Answer, and SIECUS — continues to target youth by expanding the coalition’s presence in public schools and online around the world. Planned Parenthood receives approximately $700M annually in U.S. taxpayer funding and is the nation’s leading abortion corporation, committing approximately 40% of all abortions in the United States. Through the grooming of children via its disturbing version of sex education, Planned Parenthood markets itself to those children and teens, ensuring its grip on the abortion market for years to come.

In partnership with Planned Parenthood, Advocates for Youth and the other extremist groups in the sex ‘miseducators’ coalition claim that children are sexual from birth. As such, the coalition continues to push disturbing concepts onto impressionable children — such as abortion, pornography, promiscuity, masturbation, and transgenderism — exposing youth who are psychologically incapable of processing such sexually explicit images, actions, and concepts.

For example, these sex ‘miseducators’ show a casual willingness to expose children to pornography. In 2021, as Live Action News previously reported, Bill Taverner, former executive director of the Center for Sex Education (the PP sex education arm for Northern, Central, and Southern New Jersey), promoted the exposure of children to pornography in schools as part of  sex education. Taverner stated, “If we talk about porn, is it going to make people want to watch it? This is the same faulty kind of premise as if we teach about condoms, it’s going to make people want to have sex with condoms, or maybe that’s not a bad thing.” 

Taverner further stated:

[I]f this is what they’re doing with their cell phones and tablets and their laptops, then we need to shift our education and stop doing the banana on a condom and think that, you know, we’ve done our thing. So we need to present opportunities for young people to think about … their values. You know, let’s do an opinion activity. Let’s do the ethics of porn. And that’s not to say that there’s a right answer.

This false concept of sexuality at birth was also pushed by the so-called “Father of the Sexual Revolution,” Alfred Kinsey. As noted in a previous series from Live Action News, Kinsey utilized ‘data’ collected by pedophiles who committed and recorded horrific sexual violence against infants and children in Chapter 5 of his book, “Sexual Behavior in the Human Male.” Kinsey detailed this gruesome sexual abuse of children, in which the perpetrators attempted to portray the clear outward expression of pain by the victims as evidence of “orgasms.”

In the series, “Built on Sand,“ Live Action News author Bettina diFiore noted how Kinsey described the alleged orgasms of the victimized infants and children, according to biographer James H. Jones, as “violent convulsion,” “violent arm and leg movements,” “weeping,” “sobbing, or more violent cries, sometimes with an abundance of tears (especially among younger children),” “fight[ing],” “extreme trembling, collapse, loss of color, and sometimes fainting.” Common sense would dictate that these reactions are not evidence of a sexual response. 

Based on this very same disturbing ideology obtained through child sexual abuse, Kinsey attempted to justify his theory that children are sexual from birth. These same false concepts are still used today by publicly-funded sex ‘miseducators’ in public schools, who now also have access to children via global digital media. 

In 2021, Live Action News reported that publicly funded AFY’s curriculum was used in over 100 schools. According to AFY’s 2024 tax filings, that number has now skyrocketed to over 500 schools, reaching over 5 million students nationwide with AFY’s K-12 “LGBT inclusive” curriculum.

In its 2024 Annual Report, AFY proudly boasts that its explicit and pornographic AMAZE videos geared towards children as young as four have been viewed internationally over 100 million times. Just like the videos Live Action News described in previous reporting, the recent videos by AMAZE include the revamping of their previous explicit videos promoting masturbation, pornography, casual sex, birth control, and a continued emphasis on gender identity and inclusiveness. AMAZE videos and AFY are in line with Planned Parenthood’s continued expansion of ‘gender-affirming care’ for minors.

Additionally, AFY cited 1,400 nationwide volunteers working as part of its “Youth Abortion Support Collective” (YouthASC). AFY states the purpose of YouthASC is to “connect peers to practical support and abortion care,” training individuals in every state. AFY Youth Activist Network collaborated with the Turnaway Project (a heavily debunked pro-abortion study; read more here), during its “Abortion on Campus Week of Action.” This network visited 200 nationwide campuses and trained over “400 abortion doulas.”

AFY cites 10 youth programs operating under the AFY name, including: 

• Abortion Out Loud — described as “policy advocacy to end abortion stigma and strengthen support for young people’s access to abortion”

• Free the Pill — described as “a cohort of youth organizers working to build public support for the #FreeThePill campaign, to bring a birth control pill over the counter, covered by insurance, and without age restrictions” (emphasis added) 

• Muslim Youth Leadership Council or MyLC — described as “a group of Muslim-identifying people from across the country, working locally and nationally as activists, organizers, writers, leaders and more to promote LGBTQ rights, immigrant rights, and sexual and reproductive health and rights for Muslims” 

• Student Organizers described as “high school and college students who serve as youth activists leading the reproductive justice movement at the local, state, and national level” 

Essentially, the sexual grooming throughout the K-12 sex ed curriculum in the U.S. and abroad pollutes the vulnerable and underdeveloped minds of young people and ensures continued clientele for Planned Parenthood for things like birth control, abortion, and ‘gender-affirming care.’

Live Action’s SEXED undercover investigation exposed the extreme nature of Planned Parenthood’s sexual advice for youth. In the four-part series, Planned Parenthood employees in multiple locations actively encouraged an actress posing as a 15-year-old girl to visit pornographic websites and explore dangerous and potentially life-threatening “sexual exploration,” including bondage, whips, ropes, and asphyxiation (BDSM), while in some cases, simultaneously offering the teen birth control.   

The Active Fight Against Parental Rights

In its 2024 annual report, the Planned Parenthood-allied AFY boasts about fighting against what they call “[h]armful” parental rights by stating, “Under the guise of ‘parents’ rights,’ conservatives have passed legislation in dozens of states encompassing everything from bans on sex education, to forced outlining of LGBTQ+ young people, to book bans and censorship of history.” 

Additionally, AFY claims to have fought against “conservative challenges to their LGBTQ-inclusive sex education program” in 12 school districts. 

Groups like SIECUS and Planned Parenthood are so extreme that they have even launched a campaign to halt the inclusion of prenatal development education into school state sex education programs. The prenatal education curricula they advocate against typically requires the viewing of a detailed ultrasound video, along with an animated video showing the development of a human being in the womb (such as Live Action’s “Baby Olivia” video). One of Planned Parenthood’s representatives even went so far as to label such curricula on the science of human development as “religious ideology” and “indoctrination” pushed by “Christian Nationalists.” Planned Parenthood has misled women about prenatal development for years.

With a substantial focus on activism, taxpayer-funded AFY reported expenses of over $2 million in 2023 on what they called youth empowerment, which includes “train[ing] thousands of youth activists each year to serve as advocates and leaders in the progressive movement. Advocates help these emerging leaders to shift cultural narratives and improve policy and practice at the local and state levels, centering the health and rights of youth from marginalized communities.”

According to HHS’ Tracking Accountability in Government Grants System (TAGGS), since 1995, AFY has received over $32 million in grants allocated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Of course, this is a mere drop in the bucket compared to the billions of taxpayer-funded grants received by Planned Parenthood during the same time period. 

With similar donors, mission, and values, the sex miseducation coalition of Planned Parenthood, AFY, and the other organizations under the FoSE coalition continues to expand population control and eugenics-based objectives, substantially increasing a foothold into K-12 schools, digital media, and communities around the globe.
