In our society a picture of an adorable baby with a clever saying can go viral overnight. What makes the pictures and words of strangers so appealing?
Social media sites like Facebook and Instagram are extremely popular because they allow us to share our special moments while enjoying the memories of others. A picture of a husband surprising his wife on her birthday can bring great joy and encouragement to thousands of people who’ve never even met the couple.
CareNet, a network of over 1,000 Pregnancy Care centers in the U.S. is tapping into this love we have for creating and sharing memories. From this past Mother’s Day to Father’s Day 2015 CareNet is inviting pro-life individuals and families to add their pictures to a ‘Tapestry for Life.’
CareNet’s Tapestry For Life project is an online collection of memories, tributes, celebrations and shout-outs to honor and celebrate the beauty of life. Mothers can add pictures of their children, a student can post a pic of their favorite teacher, grandparents can share photos of their grandkids. The dates of Mother’s Day to Father’s Day were chosen because this is a season where many Americans remember the importance of family.
CareNet’s goal is to get 2,500 individuals to take part in the Tapestry For Life project. They want people from all over the nation and the world to honor the ones who taught them how precious life can be. They want the gift of life to be appreciated and valued through the personal experiences of thousands. In addition, CareNet hopes this project will lead to further awareness of the life-saving work they do with women facing crisis pregnancies.
Visit the Tapestry for Life website to see beautiful pictures, learn more about CareNet and post your own special tributes. I just posted a special tribute to my mother, thanking her for walking out of an abortion clinic and giving me life. Share the project with your friends and help CareNet in their goal to reach 2,500 people by June 21st. Life is made up of countless precious memories. Add your favorite moments to the Tapestry for Life today!
